Plan G Overview

This plan is quite similar to Plan F the difference being that Plan G does not cover Medicare Part B deductibles. However, due to this change Medicare Supplemental Plan F often has much more affordable rates compared to Plan F. One important Similarity between this plan and Plan F is that it is designed to help cover the excess expenses from healthcare providers which are not covered by Medicare.

What Plan G Covers

    • Part B coinsurance
    • Part A coinsurance for inpatient hospital care with an additional year (365 days) after Medicare has been exhausted
    • Outpatient copayments
    • First three pints of blood annually
    • Medicare Part A deductible
    • 80% of Medicare Part B Excess expenses
    • 80% of emergency foreign medical care
    • Coinsurance for Skilled nursing care
    • Up to 100% of At-Home recovery costs are covered or reimbursed

What Plan G Does Not Cover

  • Medicare Part B Deductible
  • Copayments or Coinsurance for Hospice Care
  • Preventative Care
