Medigap Plan M

Plan M Overview

Medicare Supplemental Plan M is a newer addition to the family of Medigap Plans. This Plan first became effective on June 1st 2010. The plan was devised as a low cost policy that offers higher coverage to the individual who purchases it. Medigap Plan M also has lower monthly premiums but contains a higher amount of of pocket expenses. This plan allows the subscriber the flexibility of being able to choose which doctor or hospital they would like to receive their medical services from. Unlike in a Medicare Advantage Plan, Plan M does not stipulate that the doctor or hospital you chose be in a list of approved service
providers. The only stipulation is that the provider accepts Medicare.
